| Happy Spring and Happy Easter March has been an interesting month so far. We haven’t been traveling this month, so it has given us some time to catch up on a few things. First, we got our taxes off to our accountant which is always a difficult task, especially if you wait until the end of the year to organize everything. One thing I learned is just how much it is costing us to manage our website, as well as the costs of all our travel. Nevertheless, it is worth it. We have learned so much traveling and we love to share it with everyone. Well, I was going to get the March Newsletter out in time for St. Patrick’s Day, but I missed it by a few days. So, let’s celebrate Spring and Easter. I just ran across some amazing travel deals offered as Spring and Easter Specials at Expedia, Amazon, Get Your Guide, and Princess Cruises. We found sales that are sometimes as much as 50% off the normal list price. We’ve put all the deals we found together in a post on our website: Please check it out: http://cosguide4travel.com/easter-spring-sales-2024/. We also decided to explore how far the travel world has gone in adopting Artificial Intelligence (AI) into their travel offerings. We think you will enjoy our featured story. We also spent some time updating some of our older posts. We hope you’ll enjoy our updated post on Hawaii: http://cosguide4travel.com/things-to-do-in-hawaii-for-couples/. Also, we have made significant changes to our Travel guide. Please check it out: http://cosguide4travel.com/DIY-travel-guide/. Best AI Travel Apps In this article, (http://cosguide4travel.com/best-ai-travel-apps/) we explore the transformative power of artificial intelligence in the world of travel planning. From predicting trends to recommending the best destinations, AI is revolutionizing how we make smarter travel choices. We looked at several different products that are out on the market and evaluated how much they had embedded AI technologies into their applications. We looked at five tools that are developing AI-based travel planning tools. Three of the tools are established travel websites: Expedia, TripAdvisor, and Booking.com. The other two planning tools are new entrants into the travel world: Wonderplan.ai and TripPlanner.AI. We were particularly interested if the tools were using natural language processing as part of their interface with their users. Other than Booking.com, we found all the other tools using traditional list selection types of interfaces. To be honest, we weren’t overly impressed with these tools. We also evaluated two tools (TripIt and Wanderlog) that were primarily trip documenting and tracking apps. We have used TripIt for the past two years and found its ability to use AI to capture updated information from airlines and other travel sites to be very impressive. However, Wanderlog totally blew us away as it performed travel planning as well as itinerary tracking and documenting. We recommend both tools. TripIt for big picture overall Itinerary documenting and tracking and Wanderlog for planning and documenting local itineraries. Anyway, much more information in the blog post, so please check it out. Next Month We are on the road again. Traveling to South America for a cruise from Santiago Chile around the Horn to Buenos Aires, Argentina. Expect to see several posts covering this amazing adventure. Also, we have had several requests for information about travel insurance, so expect a new post on that subject. |
