Flights can also be arranged through other European cities such as London, Amsterdam or Frankfurt if you prefer crossing the Atlantic on the principal US Carriers.

Drive from Oslo

You can visit all the recommended locations on the Norway in a Nutshell tour by automobile on a 10-day road trip. Simply get a rental car in Oslo and follow the tour. Driving has its advantages as you will not be dependent on public transportation. Howerer, driving may require a longer drive than expected, but public transportation also has its issues.
While Cos and Robin were on their Norway 10-day Itinerary in two instances they were aware of situations when the public transportation options incurred problems and failed to deliver. Traveling on the public transportation options on the Norway in a Nutshell tour can have their challenges.

Travel Around Norway by Cruise Ship

Cruise Ships are a great way to complete your Norway 10-Day Itinerary as most of the places you want to visit are easily reached from sea. From these ports you can take simple one-day excursions to the places that are slightly more inland. Cos and Robin traveled on their Norway 10-Day Itinerary in August of 2025 on the Silversea Spirit cruise ship. It sailed round trip from Copenhagen and was a wonderful cruise. We then made our way to the ski jump arenas, perched high above the city. These are more than just sports venues—they’re storied landmarks, with legends, bravery, and a proud Norwegian spirit etched into every curve.

But the real showstopper? Frogner Park and the Vigeland Sculpture Installation. Words hardly do it justice. With over 200 sculptures by Gustav Vigeland, all exploring the **human experience—from joy and love to conflict and aging—**the park is not just a walk through nature, but a philosophical journey in bronze and granite. It’s emotional, striking, and utterly unforgettable.
